In rabbit breeding, rabbit births, or the so-called"brood", are considered to be one of the most important stages. However, it still needs to be prepared as well and create the necessary conditions for the female, so that the okril was successful.
What should you know about this process?
First of all, in order to obtain a healthy offspring, it is necessary to select in advance the appropriate "parents" for future rabbits. It should be healthy active animals from different families, not thin, but not too thick, for example, for rabbits, overweight is an obstacle to pregnancy. The age of the rabbits chosen for the joint must be at least six months old for the male and about four months in the rabbit. One male is enough to fertilize eight - ten females.
Reproduction of rabbits may take place all year round, but there are some restrictions depending on the season. So, for the winter period, the most appropriate time for a joke is considered the middle of the day, and for the hot season it is better to use the early morning or evening. For pairing, the female is placed in a male cage for five to ten minutes, and then returned to their cell.
After several days of conducting control pairing, planting the female again, If at the same time she does not let the male, behaves aggressively towards him, then, the coverage occurred and the rabbit should be turned back. However, experts recommend placing males within the visibility of the female, since complete isolation will create a stressful situation for the rabbit family, which negatively affects the course of pregnancy.
In addition, there are several additional ways that you can find out that the rabbit is pregnant. Already after a couple of weeks after the coverage, the presence of embryos is easy to determine by touch. Only to carry out this manipulation should be very carefully, so as not to harm the offspring, but it is better to entrust it to an experienced specialist.
How to determine if a pregnant rabbit is?
An indirect confirmation of a female's pregnancy can be considered as its increased appetite in comparison with the previous period. A particularly notable increase in feed intake is already a couple of weeks before childbirth. However, some individuals, on the contrary, may lose appetite and demonstrate it by eating food from nurseries.
Another indirect indication that coverage has taken place is the attempts of a female to nest themselves. It is enough to observe the behavior of the rabbit to understand whether her offspring will be.
The rabbits' pregnancy lasts for about a month, while the time of feeding depends directly on the number of rabbits in the litter. The more children, the faster the rabbit okra will occur. The reason is that the development of embryos is relatively rapid, and by half the time of pregnancy, the average size of the embryo is about twenty millimeters, and the mass - almost two grams.

It should be understood that a pregnant rabbit can be nervous for any event, so it should not be released from the cage during the entire period of pregnancy, and we must try to worry at least to avoid miscarriage. In addition, her cell should always have fresh water and food supply.
In order for the births to be successful, rabbits in the cage need to establish a mother in which she will eventually begin to construct the nest. It is not necessary to neglect its disinfection, because this measure is aimed at preventing infectious diseases of still unstable wrinkles. For disinfection, it is necessary to first process the mother liquor with a brush and wash with hot water and solution of manganese. In no case should you install a stomach immediately after treatment with some chemicals: the baby can slip away from the particle of chemistry from the floor. It will be best to thoroughly rinse the mother liquor with warm water to remove the residues of chemical solutions, and only then install.
It should not be installed before three to four days before delivery, otherwise the rabbit can use it for other purposes. But do not delay with the installation should not: lollipops need time to get used to the new nest. For nesting, she will use soft hay, so that it is necessary to take care in advance about his presence in the cage: part can be immediately put into the nest, and the rest are evenly distributed on the floor to allow her to take part in the creation of the nest. In general, it will be better to protect the pregnant rabbit as much as possible from third-party visits and noises.
Contents Preparing for delivery and conducting them
It is extremely important to ensure that the cell with a pregnant rabbit is well protected from drafts and insulated. It is recommended to achieve such conditions in which the temperature in the cell will be just under twenty degrees, and in the motherboard - 20 degrees and higher. Before childbirth, the female, as a rule, further lays his nest directly over the hay, which has already been collected there. But for newborn rabbits it is best to maintain a temperature of thirty-eight - forty degrees Celsius.
Experienced experts claim that rabbits are most likely to be born at night, but the owner of the rabbit should be near, in order to take care of the possible problems in a timely manner. The duration of labor in most cases is about fifteen minutes, in some cases - up to an hour. It is very important that you look at the result of the fire as early as possible to remove the stillborn, if any.
Immediately after childbirth, females begin to feed the cubs, at least those of them who have dairy are all right.
In some cases, milk may appear only on the second day - the third day, and this also needs to be tracked to take timely action and prevent rabbits from perishing. It is not too difficult to determine whether a rabbit is suffering from milk for feeding babies. In well-fed rabbits, rounded tummy, dense skin without folds, shiny wool, and they sleep well in the nest. If the milk is not enough, the behavior of the rabbit becomes restless, the skin forms folds, and the beasts try to leave the nest before the moment they begin to see. To resolve the situation with a lack of milk in a feeding rabbit, some cubs are sown to another, more dairy female.
The number of cubs in females may be different, depending on the age at which it is born, as well as the influence of several parameters: time of year, nutrition. It is not necessary to leave more than eight cubs per rabbit for feeding. This is especially true for young females, aged from four months to six months. They leave no more than six rabbits, others are converted to more adult, already tested rabbits. Especially dairy individuals can successfully feed and more than a dozen cubs.
Inspect the nests and plant the rabbits, having previously removed the rabbit from the cage. At the same time, it's best not to see that someone is looking into the nest: unnecessary worries only harm. Before the procedure of transferring cubs to the owner it is best to wash your hands with soap without refreshment.
Those rabbits that need to be transplanted must first be thoroughly cleaned from the fluff and the bedding material of the nest, and then placed closer to the middle of the nest, where they are moved, covering the fluff from a new place of residence. The main thing is that the babies are not very different in size and were born at about the same time. After the rabbits begin to smell like a new nest, the rabbit does not separate them from their own cubs.
Around the tenth day rabbits begin to see, and at the same time they are beginning to slowly try to leave the nest. During this period, cleaning is carried out in a cage, seating all its inhabitants and removing the entire fluff from the nest. After that, the cage and inventory are again disinfected and fresh hay poured into the nest.
At two-week-old rabbits freely explore the cage, and on the twentieth day try adult feed. In one cage with a mother, the rabbits are accepted to hold no more than forty-five days.
And a few days after the baby is removed, the female is again ready to pairing. Cubs in this age can already be put up for sale or given to other farms, although it is better to give all the feeding instructions so that there is no sudden change in the diet.
